Halal Food & Groceries

Eating well from your first day

Halal food here is easier to find than most people expect. There are carts and restaurants downtown, a dedicated halal grocery, and several international markets.

Some restaurants are certified halal; others simply avoid pork and alcohol. Confirm which applies, and that the place is still open, before you go — especially the entries marked “confirm halal status”.
